Secured distributed algorithms without hardness assumptions

چکیده

We study algorithms in the LOCAL model that produce secured output. Specifically, each vertex computes its part output, entire output is correct, but cannot discover of other vertices, with a certain probability. As extensive research distributed field yielded efficient decentralized algorithms, discussion about security was somewhat neglected. Nevertheless, many protocols and were devised area secure multi-party computation problem. However, focus those to work for every function f at expense increasing round complexity, or necessity several computational assumptions. present novel approach, which identifies develops are inherently (which means they do not require any further constructions). This approach yields various labeling decomposition problems without requiring hardness assumption, only private randomness generator vertex.

On pseudorandomization of information-theoretically secure schemes without hardness assumptions

A recent work by Nuida and Hanaoka (in ICITS 2009) provided a proof technique for security of information-theoretically secure cryptographic schemes in which the random input tape is implemented by a pseudorandom generator (PRG). In this paper, we revisit their proof technique and generalize it by introducing some trade-off factor, which involves the original proof technique as a special case a...

Convergence Estimates for Multigrid Algorithms without Regularity Assumptions

A new technique for proving rate of convergence estimates of multigrid algorithms for symmetric positive definite problems will be given in this paper. The standard multigrid theory requires a "regularity and approximation" assumption. In contrast, the new theory requires only an easily verified approximation assumption. This leads to convergence results for multigrid refinement applications, p...

Characterizing Topological Assumptions of Distributed Algorithms in Dynamic Networks

Besides the complexity in time or in number of messages, a common approach for analyzing distributed algorithms is to look at their assumptions on the underlying network. This paper focuses on the study of such assumptions in dynamic networks, where the connectivity is expected to change, predictably or not, during the execution. Our main contribution is a theoretical framework dedicated to suc...

Genetic Algorithms, and Hardness

Genetic algorithm (GA) researchers have long desired to describe the key characteristics of GA-hardness. Unfortunately this goal has remained largely unmet. In this paper, we describe a new way for evaluating GA-hardness that is based on the foundations of formal complexity theory. In particular, a GA-reduction is introduced. Using this reduction, we show that a reasonable definition of "GA-har...

Group Signatures Without q-Assumptions

The notion of group signatures was introduced to allow group members to sign anonymously on behalf of a group. A group manager allows a user to join a group, and another will be able to open a signature to revoke its anonymity. Several schemes have already been proposed to fulfil these properties, however very few of them are proven in the standard model. Of those proven in the standard model, ...
